#CEO2024

We are coming off a huge weekend as 3 of our players competed at #CEO2024 presented by CEO Gaming. Those in attendance included our own Joey Bag O’ Donuts, a team vet with over 10 title wins at CEO since 2017 and newcomers to the team Daa Chronicle and Argen. After the dust settled we walked away with 7 medals between main events and community tournaments, lets recap our players feats below.

Daa Chronicle : The Ultra Tour is in full swing for the 2024 season as CEO 2024 marked the 2nd event of the season. Daa Chronicle was on his revenge tour following a short run at Combo Breaker and he wanted to show why he was the 1st overall seed for Killer Instinct. After a close series he saw himself advance to winners side of top 12 earning a spot on the main stage, following tough loses to Bass on both sides of the bracket Daa Chronicle earned himself 3rd overall and a share of the $10,000 pot bonus.

You can see him close out the Ultra Tour later this month at EVO 2024!

Joey Bag O’ Donuts : The yearly celebration of Def Jam happens at CEO each and every year, this one included as Joey joined the TO team for many titles at CEO. Since Def Jam was not featured as a main title this year it meant the players would not be fighting for a belt but as the owner of the first ever Def Jam belt we felt the players deserved something to fight for. Thanks to our partners over at CardoMax the Def Jam players at CEO were able to fight for a literal championship ring. Joey fell short of walking away with the ring he showed up with but he once again leaves with bragging rights over his brother.

You can find him next at Holiday Matsuri later this year for CEOtaku 2024!

Argen : The newest player to the organization, Argen had a lot of high hopes for CEO 2024 as he headed in signed up for a total of 6 side events and 2 main games. The headliner of his weekend being UNISC where he was seeded 3rd overall and projected to reach the main stage. He started the weekend competing in 5 side events in a 4 hour span and after some scheduling conflicts decided to focus on Diesel Legacy and DNF Duel. After only dropping a single game all of bracket we saw Argen start the weekend taking the gold in Diesel Legacy with teammate Triumph, becoming the first ever champions for the title ever.

Day 2 kept up to the hype of the previous day as Argen started off with a 2nd place finish in Samurai Showdown leading to his UNISC run where he managed to advance to Top 24 through the winners side. Championship Sunday saw Argen facing Vale47 to secure his spot in top 8 and after a tough series of rounds Argen finished 3rd overall just as his seed projected.
