#EVO2024

We head into EVO 2024 with a total of 8 players competing across titles such as Undernight, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and Killer Instinct. Newcomers Chronicle and Argen joined those such as Carnitas and Child233 in Las Vegas to compete among thousands others in this record breaking event.

We head into the weekend with 7 members competing in Street Fighter 6 and after the round 1 pools 4 of which moved on, Spoinkman being the lone warrior playing Undernight instead of Street Fighter 6. All of our players advanced into the later rounds and avoided the dreaded 0-2 that thousands fell to during the weekend.

Major upsets and runs of the main games included CuhzLightYear 129th of 5279 total players for Street Fighter 6 and Spoinkman finishing 49th overall in Undernight. The side events is where we shined this weekend as we headed into Killer Instinct as the 3rd and 4th seed and Diesel Legacy as the 1st overall seed.

The First Official EVO Championship

We head into Killer Instinct at EVO with Carnitas and Daa Chronicle both looking to finish the story and end the Ultra Tour as the champion. Both of them started out hot making it to the winners side of top 16 but as Daa Chronicle found his way into top 6 in the winners side his team mate Carnitas had to enter through the losers side.

Top 6 started off with both of the LAGr boys taking down legendary player Bass as they move on in the bracket, on the losers side we saw Carnitas face the musician known as NotAlexV where his road ended at 4th overall.

On the other side of the bracket we saw Daa Chronicle face an opponent who he plays weekly in UAW, Roman22s. After some close games it was Aria who came out on top and sent us to the grand finals, later to once again play against Roman22s. In a last game last hit scenario Daa Chronicle takes the win and is crowned EVO 2024 KI Champion securing LAGr Gaming’s first ever EVO Championship.

Title Defended

This weekend we also saw the team at Diesel Legacy host it’s 2nd tournament in front of the massive crowds at EVO 2024. Argen and Triumph headed out to compete and defend their CEO 2024 title and in dominated fashion the duo took it all and once again secured a good portion of the $2,500 prize pool.
